The historic Nugget Building, originally built in 1892 to house L.L. Nunn’s First National Bank of Telluride and the Telluride Power Company headquarters, is currently undergoing a multi-year remodel/reconstruction.

Purchased in 2021 by the Telluride Film Festival, the renovations and rebuild are set to contain a state-of-the-art sound and picture movie theater, artist in residency space, office & commercial space, and a rooftop education pavilion.

This project aims to preserve and protect the historic integrity of an iconic structure, while also offering community space, educational programing, national fellowship and residency programs, and a celebration of the silver screen.
